The Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Therapy

The Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Therapy are external, non-invasive manipulations of the abdomen and uterus. Passed down through a lineage of traditional Mayan healers, ATMAT restores biochemical and biomechanical balance to the body. This therapy can be used to maintain optimum health or to support the following concerns: Menstrual conditions, adhesions, scarring, infertility, small ovarian cysts and fibroids, endometriosis, perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms, constipation, PMS, GERD, IBS, Crohn's disease, as well as a myriad of other digestive disorders. Each client is taught a self-care routine to continue the work at home. This is the only clinic in Flagstaff offering this treatment.

Looking for something to help reduce swelling or clear congestion? This extremely gentle bodywork therapy could be just the answer for you! Lymphatic Drainage Massage, or manual lymph drainage, is a therapy that relieves swelling in your lymphatic system. This is done by gently massaging and manipulating specific areas of the body (face, arms, legs, abdomen). It is designed to restore the functions of your body’s immune system and treat a variety of health concerns. This is also an excellent treatment post surgery in particular where lymph nodes have been removed or damaged. 
 
This light, superficial treatment is ideal for those who are looking for a gentle form of bodywork and is an incredible sleep aid.

Craniosacral Therapy

​Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on approach, which helps release restrictions throughout the body and create a profound sense of relaxation. Using gentle holds to manipulate the bones of the skull, spine and pelvis, Craniosacral therapy normalizes the flow of cerebral spinal fluid in the central nervous system enhancing the body's ability to heal.

​This therapy is done with the client fully clothed and is a great introduction to bodywork for those who are more modest. This therapy is not the "muscle mashing" experienced in a usual massage session but facilitates deep relaxation, can allow for emotional release, and can help release tension patterns which cause TMJ dysfuntion, headaches, low back and neck pain to name a few. ​
